English 
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 in all English and Linguistics courses
    Successful completion of LING 200, ENG 203 OR 204, ENG 205, ENG 210, ENG 211, ENG 220, and ENG 298 (students may be enrolled in one course at the time of application submission, but must be successfully completed before full admission is granted)
  • One of the evaluation rubrics must be from a CCSU English faculty member.
History/Social Studies
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.00 in ECON, GEOG, HIST, and PS courses
  • Completion of HIST 301 with a grade of “B” or better. Students may be enrolled in this course at the time of application, but it must be completed before full admission is granted.
  • One of the evaluation rubrics must be from a full-time faculty member of the CCSU History Department. 
Mathematics
  • Minimum overall GPA of 2.70 in all mathematics courses required by major; with no more than two course repeats in the major. 
  • Completion of MATH 221, Calculus II with a grade of C- or higher
  • One evaluation rubric must be from a faculty member in the CCSU Mathematics Department.

Science (including Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Physics)Biology and Earth Science majors must have a minimum of 3.00 GPA in all courses in the major. Physics and Chemistry majors must have a minimum of 2.70 GPA in all courses in the major.
