Central Connecticut State University annually awards over $3 million in scholarships funded by public scholarship programs, as well as private donations made to the CCSU Foundation, Inc. The scholarships aim to assist students with attendance costs and acknowledge their academic performance, leadership qualities, university/community service, and campus/community engagement.
To explore merit-based scholarship opportunities as well as past scholarship recipients, visit the CCSU Foundation website.
CCSU awards merit-based scholarships to select newly admitted first-year, transfer, and graduate students as part of the admission process in accordance with the criteria for each of the scholarship programs. No scholarship application is necessary to be considered for an admission-based merit scholarship, but a FAFSA may be required in some cases.
To be eligible for financial aid, a student must be matriculated at Central.
Current students are encouraged to apply for CCSU merit-based scholarships by completing the online application that is available November through mid-December each year. Awards are made for the following academic year. A single application along with the student's academic record qualifies them for most scholarships while there are a handful of funds that require an additional step.
