For more than 175 years, the School of Education at Central Connecticut State University has prepared educators, counselors, administrators, and educational leaders who make a difference in schools and communities throughout Connecticut and beyond. As one of the university’s founding strengths, the School combines a long tradition of excellence in teacher preparation with a commitment to innovation, diversity, and community engagement. The School is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and has maintained national accreditation longer than any other institution in Connecticut.
