Final Submission of the Approved Thesis

After your thesis has been approved by your committee, you must submit to the committee chair:

  1. The signed Approval of Thesis Form (Note: this is depicted as Appendix E in the Graduate School Thesis Handbook; see links at left)
  2. The “original” copy of the abstract cover sheet, abstract, thesis cover sheet and thesis, all printed on 25% rag content paper, together in a clamp-type binder (or box). Place a label with your name and the thesis title in the center of the cover, and a second label stating ORIGINAL in the upper right hand corner
  3. A second clamp binder with a copy of the abstract cover sheet, abstract, thesis cover sheet and thesis. Again, place a label with your name and the thesis title in the center of the cover, and place a second label stating COPY in the upper right hand corner
  4. Three separately-stapled copies of the abstract cover sheet and abstract enclosed together in a single clear report cover
  5. A copy of the thesis in digital format. You must read the relevant (and detailed) requirements for this electronic copy in the Central Graduate School Thesis Handbook under "Electronic Submission" (see links at left)
  6. A signed Thesis Reproduction Approval Form (Note: this is depicted as Appendix J in the Graduate School Thesis Handbook; see links at left)

These materials are to be delivered by the chair to the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the Graduate School. You may wish to prepare final thesis copies for yourself and your advisor, and perhaps the members of your committee as well.
