Ebenezer D. Bassett Student Achievement Award

The scholarship is named in honor of Ebenezer Don Carlos Bassett. The Ebenezer D. Bassett Scholarship is awarded to two students (e.g., undergraduate and/or graduate) continuing their education at Central Connecticut State University. The scholarship provides financial support to students who represent an underrepresented, non-traditional, underprivileged group, and/or who have demonstrated financial need to meet educational expenses. Applicants must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 with the promise of outstanding academic performance and career potential.

Ebenezer D. Bassett Legacy Medal

The Ebenezer D. Bassett Legacy Medal is the most prestigious of the HEALTHYfellows Campaign awards presented at CCSU. The medal was named in honor of Ambassador Ebenezer D. Bassett. The award was created as a means of paying tribute and celebrating individuals who exist as keepers and serve as ambassadors of Ebenezer D. Bassett’s legacy. Each of the honorees exemplify at least one of the Bassett character attributes (e.g., Scholar, Leader, Compatriot, Humanitarian, and Victor). Bassett Legacy Medal recipients are recognized with the distinguished title “Bassett Scholar".
