First and second year (freshman/sophomore) TRiO SSS and SSS Teacher Prep participants are eligible for grant aid through the TRiO SSS Program. Funds are distributed directly to students for use in any capacity that contributes to meeting your educational needs. Grant aid is limited. Priority is given based on student need and financial hardships. Current grant aid amounts vary between $700-$1,000.
To be eligible, you must be:
- A current SSS/SSS Teacher Prep participant
- In your 1st or 2nd year of postsecondary education
- Receiving Pell Grants; and/or
-
- An Upperclassman (Jr or Sr.) experiencing financial hardship placing you in danger of not returning to Central
First and second year students will automatically be considered and prioritized based on need, however, we encourage ANY student, regardless of what year, to submit an application if you are experiencing a financial hardship. Once funds are expended to first- and second-year students, any remaining funds will be allocated to Juniors and Seniors who wish to be considered and can demonstrate (with an explanation in the application) that they are experiencing a financial hardship that is putting them in danger of not returning to the institution.
Priority Deadline: Nov 22nd by 11:59pm. Awards will be made until all funds are expended.
