Form I-20 Processing

Congratulations on your acceptance to Central Connecticut State University! This site provides information on steps to take before your arrival at Central.

We wish you all the best as you begin your journey to the United States and Central Connecticut State University, and we look forward to welcoming you at the International Student and Scholar Services Office.

  • Once you have paid your confirmation deposit, email ISSS@ccsu.edu to request access to Terra Dotta online account to start the I-20 Request Process
  • Submit all required information and documents through your Terra Dotta Login online account
  • Contact your previous school to release your active SEVIS record to Central
  • Form I-20 can only be issued after all required documents have been submitted and reviewed, and your SEVIS record is released from your previous school to Central
  • Attend mandatory International Student Orientation (Orientation date and time listed on Form I-20)
  • Pre-Arrival Booklet

  • Once you have paid your confirmation deposit, email ISSS@ccsu.edu to request access to your Terra Dotta online account to start the I-20 Request Process
  • Submit all required information and documents through your Terra Dotta Login online account
  • Form I-20 will be issued after all required documents have been submitted and reviewed
  • Pay your  SEVIS Fee and print a receipt for your records:
    • SEVIS ID number (N00XXXXXXXX) is located on the upper left corner of Form I-20
    • Central’s SEVIS school code is located in the “School Information” section on page 1 of Form I-20
  • Central does not process change of status on behalf of students, seek legal counsel.
  • Attend mandatory International Student Orientation (Orientation date and time listed on Form I-20)
  • Pre-Arrival Booklet

  • Once you have paid your confirmation deposit, email ISSS@ccsu.edu to request access to your Terra Dotta online account to start the I-20 Request Process
  • Submit all required information and documents through your Terra Dotta Login online account
  • Form I-20  will be issued after all required documents have been submitted and reviewed
  • Pay your SEVIS Fee and print a receipt for your records at least three business days before your visa interview at the United States Embassy
    • SEVIS ID number (N00XXXXXXXX) is located on the upper left corner of Form I-20
    • Central’s SEVIS school code is located in the “School Information” section on page 1 of Form I-20
  • Make sure you have a valid passport
  • Book an appointment at the nearest United States Embassy
  • Attend mandatory International Student Orientation (Orientation date and time listed on  Form I-20)
  • Pre-Arrival Booklet
