Lambda Pi Eta (LPH)
National Communication Association’s official honor society
One of the highest achievements Communication majors can attain is induction into
the National Communication Association’s honor society, Lambda Pi Eta (LPH). Founded
in 1985, it recognizes outstanding student scholars in Communication and has more
than 500 active chapters in the United States. CCSU’s Tau Mu Chapter of LPH was established
in 2012 and each year an induction ceremony has included a festive reception for students,
their families, and faculty. As a result of the campus closure in March 2020 due to
the COVID-19 pandemic, all spring events, including the 2020 induction ceremony were
cancelled. In previous years, there was never sufficient time to give students an
opportunity for remarks at the event. This video, which is a salute to our students,
has provided them a chance for a few parting words. We wish them all the very best
of health, satisfaction, and success.
