Search Committee Training and Resources

Search Committee Requirements

Thank you for serving as a member of a Central search committee. To support an equitable and compliant hiring process, all committee members must complete the following requirements aligned with state Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity (AA/EEO) regulations:

  1. Search Charge Meeting
    • Attend a Search Charge Meeting with the Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA). Note: You are only required to attend one charge meeting per calendar year. To register, visit the ORA Search Charge Calendar and select an available date and time from the training calendar. Questions may be directed to Erin Rodas and Claudia Richards Meade at ORASearchCompliance@ccsu.edu.
  2. Online Training: Bias in Interviewing
    • Complete the Bias in Interviewing online training in NEOED. If you have already completed the course, no further action is needed. If not, log in to NEOEDLogin, open the Course Catalog, search for “Bias,” and enroll.

We encourage completion of these initial steps within two weeks of receiving your search committee assignment.
