Accelerated BS/MS in ME Program

Accelerated BS/MS in ME Program

The Accelerated Bachelor of Science-Master of Science program (BS/MS) in Mechanical Engineering enables students to earn their BS and MS degrees in as little as five years. This unique initiative permits undergraduates to enroll in up to 9 MSME graduate credits, which will count toward their bachelor's degree within the General Concentration area of the program. Consequently, students can graduate with both degrees, requiring 149 credits instead of the 158 credits necessary when pursuing these degrees separately.

Eligibility:

To qualify for this program, students must have completed specific courses: ME354 (Fluid Mechanics), ENGR 357 (Mechanics of Materials), and ENGR 290 (Engineering Technical Writing and Presentation). Additionally, they are expected to maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. Once admitted into the Accelerated BS/MS Program in Mechanical Engineering, students will officially matriculate into the School of Graduate Studies MSME Program in the semester immediately following the completion of their bachelor's degree.
