Forensic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Program

Faculty from the Criminology Department’s Institute for the Study of Crime and Justice (Stephen Cox, Chip Tafrate, and Damon Mitchell) partnered with the Court Support Services Division and the University of Southern Maine in writing a grant application for the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance’s “Smart Probation” Program.

This partnership resulted in the Connecticut Judicial Branch receiving a Federal grant award of for the period of September 1, 2012 to October 1, 2014 to try an experimental program called “Forensic CBT”.

We will continue to update this website as the program progresses.
