The Alumni Circle of Inspiration was founded in 2013 to pay tribute to remarkable alumni from Central Connecticut State University and its predecessor institutions who have achieved the highest level of distinction through contributions to their personal, civic, community, and professional spheres. These exceptional alumni have been recognized and included in the Alumni Circle to honor their accomplishments and inspire current Central students to lead similarly remarkable lives after graduation.Â
Honorees are inducted into the Alumni Circle periodically and celebrated during Homecoming or other marquis events to bring attention to their contributions to society and to receive well-deserved recognition from the University and its broader community.
Nomination Process
Nominations for Alumni Circle recognition can be submitted by alumni, current faculty or staff of the University, and members of the Board of Directors of the CCSU Alumni Association. The deadline for submitting nominations using the link below is annually on June 1.Â
Nominees must have obtained a degree or Official Certificate from the University at least a decade prior. Exceptions to this requirement can be considered by the Vice President of Institutional Advancement.Â
The Alumni Circle of Inspiration Selection Committee, comprised of University personnel and members of the Board of Directors of the CCSU Alumni Association, will review nominations each year and make recommendations to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. The Vice President will make recommendations to the University President, who holds final decision-making authority in the selection process.
