The trip to Peru was honestly one of the most unforgettable trips that I have taken. I learned a lot of Spanish along the way, but more importantly I learned about another culture by being exposed to their way of life. This particular picture is one of my favorites from the trip as it was taken on my way back from just having played soccer with my friend and some other tourists. Being able to say I played soccer in the Andes is pretty special. In the next town we visited (Aguas Calientes) I went to another soccer field (this time alone) and had the opportunity to play a few games with the locals. Everyone on the field (and that I encountered on the trip) was very welcoming and friendly. This friendly atmosphere combined with the breathtaking landscapes, amazing food, and amazing archaeological sites puts Peru right up there as one of my favorite countries visited.
