Explore Opportunities with OVA
The Office of Victim Advocacy offers meaningful ways for students to get involved in creating a safer, more supportive campus community. Through our student worker positions (internships, volunteer roles, and graduate assistantships), students gain hands‑on experience in advocacy, prevention education, and survivor support.
Students in these roles work closely with OVA staff to develop programs, share resources, and participate in campus‑wide initiatives that promote safety, healing, and empowerment. These opportunities are ideal for students who care about social justice, survivor support, and making a real impact at CCSU.
Students from a wide range of majors find this work valuable, including those studying Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Education & Student Affairs, Communication & Community Engagement, and other related fields.
Whether you’re exploring a future career in advocacy or simply want to contribute to positive change on campus, OVA provides a supportive place to learn, grow, and make a difference.
Build a strong resume while gaining career‑ready professional skills, receive training and mentorship to support your future goals, and earn academic credit as you make a meaningful impact on campus.
