Summer Enrichment 2023

Programs are offered to CCSU student-parents/guardians, faculty, and staff with children between the ages of 3-7 years of age. Bathroom independence is required. To register for summer programs, children must be fully enrolled in the CCSU Drop-In Child Care Center program, which includes the submission of all enrollment forms and Health Assessment Records. Parents/guardians are not required to remain on campus during this program. Space is limited and CCSU student-parents will have priority.

CCSU Fireflies

3-and 4-year-olds (bathroom independence is required)

CCSU Fireflies provides many opportunities for your child to learn and grow. Each week has a special theme to peak your child’s curiosity and engage them in a wide variety of play based, intentional, educational experiences. Each day includes circle time, centers, outdoor play, creative arts, and snack.

  • Monday through Thursday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Lunch Buddies 12:00 -1:00 pm (Students will bring a NUT-FREE lunch and healthy snack)

Week 4: July 17 – Under the Sea

CCSU Shooting Stars

5, 6, 7- year-olds

CCSU Shooting Stars will engage your child in a variety of activities built around a new topic each week. The programs are designed to be developmentally appropriate and cover many subject areas including math, science, social studies, language, literacy, music, movement, and creative arts. Each day includes morning meeting, centers, outdoor play, creative arts, and snack.

  • Monday through Thursday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Lunch Buddies 12:00 – 1:00 pm (Students will bring a NUT-FREE lunch and healthy snack)
  • Extended Day 12:00 – 3:00 pm (Students will bring a NUT-FREE lunch and healthy snack)

Week 3: July 10 – WATER WORKS

Week 4: July 17 – SHARK WEEK

Summer Enrichment Fees

  • CCSU Student-parents enrolled in a summer class: Non-refundable reservation fee: $20.00 per week/child
  • CCSU enrolled student-parents, but not taking summer classes: $50.00 per week/child ($20 for each additional sibling registered)
  • CCSU Faculty & Staff: $80.00 per week/child ($20.00 off each additional sibling registered)
  • Lunch Buddies: 12:00 – 1:00 pm
    $5.00 per day/child (students bring a NUT-FREE lunch and healthy snack)
  • 5–7-year-old Extended Day:
    additional $20.00 per day/per child (students will bring a NUT-FREE lunch and healthy snack)

Registration

  • Please complete the summer registration form to secure your spot.
  • If you are not enrolled in The CCSU Drop-In Center yet, that is the first step. Please register with the center first. Once registration with the center is completed, you may submit the Summer Registration Form. Submit all completed forms to Kelly McCarthy: kellymccarthy@ccsu.edu
  • Spots are not secured until you receive a confirmation email. Once confirmed, we will request that fees are paid in full. For more information, please email kellymccarthy@ccsu.edu
