Jeffrey Brown
Dr. Brown is the Director of Primary Care Sports Medicine at St. Francis Hospital/Trinity Health, and the Assistant Director of the UCONN Sports Medicine Fellowship program. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at University of Rochester/Highland Hospital and a fellowship in Sports Medicine at University of Connecticut. His practice focuses on the non-operative management of orthopedic injuries, sports-related concussion, and medical conditions that affect participation in sports, such as exercised induced asthma, common illnesses and skin conditions.
Dr. Brown is a team physician at Central Connecticut State University, and the lead team physician for the Hartford Athletic soccer team.
Chantelle Bowden, MD, MBA, FRCPC
Dr. Bowden is a dedicated Psychiatrist specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of a wide range of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders in adults, and may see older adolescents for certain conditions. Practicing at a mental health clinic or hospital department in Penticton, BC, she is a key member of the local mental healthcare community. She provides comprehensive psychiatric care, including diagnostic assessment, medication management, and psychotherapeutic interventions for a variety of conditions such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychotic disorders. Her approach is rooted in a thorough understanding of each patient's unique circumstances, ensuring personalized and effective care. The practice is committed to providing confidential and respectful mental health care, fostering a safe space for patients to explore their concerns and work towards recovery and well-being.
Dr Bowden graduated with an MD from the University of Alberta, Canada, and holds specialty certification as a Psychiatrist. She is board-certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of psychiatric practice. Her training and certifications reflect her commitment to ongoing professional development and excellence in mental health care delivery.
Dr. Bowden’s clinical philosophy emphasizes collaborative care, patient empowerment through education and understanding, and evidence-based treatment approaches. She strives to build a therapeutic alliance built on trust and respect, dedicated to supporting her patients in Penticton through compassionate and effective psychiatric services. She provides care in English, ensuring clear communication and understanding throughout the treatment process.
Robert Huyler, DPT, CSCS, CWcHP, CMP
Robert gained interest in Physical Therapy after coaching a youth indoor rock-climbing team. His athletes would approach him in regard to their injuries and Robert became fascinated in the nature of the injuries. He studied Exercise Science at Lyndon State College in Vermont, where he became an Adjunct Professor of three different courses. He also presented at the New England American College of Sports Medicine conference in 2010 on “Practical Training for Rock Climbing from Teens to Adults”. Robert enjoys treating patients from all walks of life and finds personal gratification from the healing of others.
Julie Paolino, PT, MS, ATC, MCTA, CIDN, FGS, 3DMAPS
Julie joined Integrated Rehabilitation Services, opening her first clinic in Vernon in 2001. Presently, Julie serves as CEO for all Integrated Rehabilitation Services locations. Julie earned both her Bachelors’ Degree and Advanced Masters’ Degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University. She obtained her Athletic Training Certification and has more than 30 years of experience delivering orthopedic physical therapy.
Since 1995, she has worked closely with Brian Mulligan, F.N.Z.S.P., (Hon.) Dip. M.T. with his manual techniques of “Mobilizations with Movement” and was the first woman in North America certified by the Mulligan Concept Teacher’s Association to teach his manual physical therapy concepts. She has spoken internationally at Mulligan Concept™ seminars and presented these techniques to professional sports teams, including the NFL. Recently, Julie was part of the team that accredited two new teachers of the Mulligan Concept™.
Julie is an active volunteer, having served in the past on the International Board of Directors for the Notre Dame Mission Volunteer Corps and as past President of the Tolland County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She has twice been recognized with the Hartford Courant’s Outstanding Leadership Award. Her special interests include golf, running, cycling and triathlons. She remains committed to helping people in her local community lead healthy, active lives.
Robert Waskowitz, MD
Dr. Robert Waskowitz is a third-generation physician from Connecticut. His primary interests include the diagnosis and treatment of knee and shoulder injuries and sports medicine. He performs reconstructive and arthroscopic procedures on the knee, shoulder, ankle, and elbow.
After graduating from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Dr. Waskowitz completed his General Surgery Internship and Orthopedic Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. During this time, he was awarded the Resident/Fellow Award for outstanding research from the Eastern Orthopedic Association. He then completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the prestigious Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado. His wide scope of practice included partnership of practices in western Massachusetts and Attending Physician at the Lahey Clinic in Boston. He returned to the central Connecticut region and has been practicing in his home state.
Dr. Waskowitz has been affiliated with many sports teams over the past 25 years. He serves as Senior Team Physician for Central Connecticut State University and is the Medical Director for the athletic training program at CCSU. Dr Waskowitz serves as a team consultant for many local and regional school systems. He is Team Physician for Newington High School and assists in covering Kingswood Oxford School athletics. Dr. Waskowitz is one of the primary physicians covering the X-Games, providing onsite coverage as lead physician now in his 24th year of doing this. Dr Waskowitz has gained invaluable insight into injury profiles from world-class athletes competing at the highest-level including coverage for NFL, PGA, and US Ski Team events. He has been team doctor for the Connecticut Wolves professional soccer club, Connecticut Crush women’s professional football team, and assisted in covering the Hartford Colonials professional football team.
Dr Waskowitz has been an active elected member for the Connecticut State Medical Society Committee on the Medical Aspects of Sport for over 20 years. He was awarded the Moyer Award from the Eastern Athletic Trainers Association in 2012 for his work as a team physician. He is a member of numerous societies including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Connecticut State Medical Society, and the Connecticut Orthopedic Society.
A graduate of Kingswood Oxford School, he has been inducted into KO’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Dr. Waskowitz graduated with Honors from Amherst College and earned East-West All-Star status in lacrosse.
Dr. Waskowitz is an avid participant in outdoor activities including powder skiing, windsurfing, mountain biking, and travel. He and his family enjoy an active lifestyle.
