Description

LdM has been a popular study-abroad university for students all over the world since 1973 and began primarily as an Italian language institute. Since then, the university has grown to offer a wide variety of courses and activities for students to take part in. All courses are available in both English and Italian for students who are more proficient in one or the other. At this university, students can discover the hidden intricacies of Italian culture through hands-on learning experiences that provide an academic perspective of Florence’s centuries-old traditions. For students interested in volunteer work and community engagement, LdM has a wide list of cultivated relationships around Florence.

Academic Calendar: Fall Semester: Early-September to Mid-December, Spring Semester: Early-February to Mid-May, Summer session dates TBD.

Academic Subjects

Courses include those in business, communications, economics, international relations, Italian culture & language, culinary arts, media, and sociology.

Housing

Students generally live in shared apartments with other students or they can choose to live in homestays with a local Italian host, which includes half board/meals. Students are not obliged to choose housing through LdM, however, and may find their own accommodations independently.
