Visiting Professor Opportunity - Kansai Gaidai University, Japan

We are pleased to share an exciting visiting professor opportunity to Kansai Gaidai University in Japan, available in Spring 2026. This opportunity is open to Central faculty whose expertise is in the social sciences, humanities, business/economics, or digital studies.

Located in Hirakata City, between Kyoto and Osaka, Kansai Gaidai University enrolls approximately 12,000 students and offers a dynamic academic and cultural environment. This opportunity is especially well-suited for faculty considering sabbatical plans and those who are interested in teaching and conducting research abroad.

Key Details:

  • Teaching Load: 2 courses per semester
  • Free housing provided
  • Monthly stipend of 150,000 yen (approx. $1,035) with a lower cost of living than CT
