CIS Abroad

The CIS Study Abroad Program gives students the opportunity to expand their education while exploring the world. By studying in another country, students can experience new cultures, gain global perspectives, and develop valuable skills that prepare them for future academic and professional success. The program is designed to combine academic learning with cultural immersion, creating an enriching and memorable international experience.

Destinations

Students can choose from a wide variety of study abroad locations across the globe. These destinations offer unique cultural experiences, diverse academic programs, and opportunities to explore historic cities and communities. Popular destinations include:

  • Italy
  • Spain
  • France
  • Ireland
  • United Kingdom
  • Greece
  • Japan
  • South Korea
  • Thailand
  • Costa Rica
  • Australia
  • South Africa

Each location provides students with the chance to learn in a new environment while experiencing the traditions, food, language, and history of another culture.

Program Types

The CIS Study Abroad Program offers several types of programs to fit different academic goals and schedules:

  • Semester Programs

    Students study abroad for a full academic semester while earning credits toward their degree.

  • Summer Programs

    Shorter programs that take place during the summer, allowing students to gain international experience without interrupting the regular academic year.

  • Internship Programs

    Students gain professional experience by working with organizations or companies abroad while also learning about the local culture and workplace environment.

    • Language of Instruction: English
    • Required GPA: 2.5 or 2.7, but it depends on the program
    • Term: Fall, Spring, Summer
    • Program: Undergraduate
