Central Discover Abroad

Central Discover Abroad offers enriching educational travel experiences for community members, students, alumni, professionals, retirees, and anyone eager to explore the world through learning. Programs focus on a variety of topics including but not limited to cultural immersion, personal enrichment, and language learning. Participants do not earn college credit unless they are enrolled in a Special Independent Study.

  • Central Discover Abroad is a non-credit educational travel program offered by Central’s Center for International Education (CIE) in collaboration with academic departments.
  • Programs are led by Central faculty and/or staff members and make use of the university’s established global partnerships and Study Abroad resources.
  • All programs are open to the broader community.
  • Participants are responsible for the travel cost as well as a $300 non-credit participant fee.
