Weeks of Welcome

The Weeks of Welcome is a month-long program has been established to give CCSU students the opportunity to connect or reconnect with the campus community through engaging social and educational activities at the beginning of each fall semester. We highly recommend that first-year students come to these events to get to know the university and make friends along the way.

Community

Kizer's Kickoff, Monday, August 28, 2023, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Student Center Circle (Outside). Hosted by New Student Programs in collaboration with many campus departments and resources. Join the Central community as we kick-off the Fall semester with music, dinner, inflatables, games and more! Meet or make friends at Kizer's Kickoff!

Learning

Return to REC, Wednesday, August 30, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m., C.J. Huang Recreation Center. Learn about fitness classes, intramurals, and club sports while you also learn about the 8 factors of wellness. Returning students will notice some updates to the space. Hosted by RECentral Campus Recreation. 

Fun

Football Home Opener. Saturday, September 2, 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Arute Field. Wear your CCSU gear and come to the opening home game under the lights as CCSU takes on American International College. The Kizer Parking Lot opens at 3 p.m. for tailgating, and tailgating ends at 5:30 p.m.

Engagement

Club Central Involvement Fair, Wednesday, September 13, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Outside of the Student Center. Student Leaders will be tabling to recruit new members. There will also be performances by student clubs as well as refreshments.
