Admission Requirements

Applicants are expected to have a Master’s degree or a Sixth Year Certificate in Reading and Language Arts with a minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 point scale. Applicants must also have 3 years of teaching experience.

For consideration, applicants must submit the following

  1. A completed online application with supplemental materials ( ccsu.edu/apply ):
    • Proof of a minimum of 3 years teaching experience
    • $50 application fee
  2. Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (GPA of 3.00 or higher)
    • Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or a Sixth-Year Certificate in Reading & Language Arts (102 certification). Applicants without a 102 certification must take 24 credits of prerequisite courses

Official transcripts may be sent directly to the Graduate Recruitment & Admissions Office
