Student zine selected for Institute Library anniversary exhibition

Central students Courtney Malanga and Ja’Kyah Williams had their collaborative zine, Bodily Autonomy, selected for inclusion in We Make A Library, The Institute Library’s summer exhibition celebrating its 200th birthday.

Developed as a final project in DES-465: Data Narratives, a curriculum grant-supported course taught by Professor Peggy Bloomer, the project uses data-driven poster design to communicate research on human reproductive health through visual storytelling to explore themes of bodily autonomy, informed consent, and access to care. Pictured are Professors Peggy Bloomer and Jeanne Criscola and Malanga celebrating the students’ achievement at the exhibition.
