Degree Level Change

If you are changing from your current degree level to a new degree level (e.g. IELP to Master’s program, or Bachelor’s to Master’s), you must obtain a new Change of Level I-20 reflecting your new degree program.

Request Degree Level Change I-20 from ISSS within 60 days of your program completion or program end date on your Form I-20 (whichever is earlier). 

You must: 

• Obtain Admission Letter indicating full acceptance (no conditions listed)
• Complete the appropriate Undergraduate Affidavit of support or Graduate Affidavit of support document 
• Submit documents with “F-1 Degree Level Change” request through your online account Terra Dotta Login
• Once you login, go to My Launchpad > Start New Request > F-1 Degree Level Change 
• Your Form I-20 will be issued to you once all documents are received and reviewed.
