Hoops for Homeless is a volunteer organization aimed to raise awareness for homeless youth and families in New Britain.

Background

Hoops for the Homeless is a three-on-three basketball tournament that started in New Britain in 2013 to benefit homeless youth. The event is produced in collaboration with the City of New Britain and the Downtown District, Consolidated School District of New Britain, New Britain Parks & Recreation Department, New Britain Police & Fire Departments, Friendship Service Center, Prudence Crandall Domestic Violence Center, Boys & Girls Club of New Britain, and Central Connecticut State University.
