STEM-ing the Tide: Celebrating First-generation Success in STEM

This day will highlight first-gen students, faculty and staff in the STEM fields and will be hosted by the School of Engineering, Science, Technology at the Applied Innovation Hub.

Event: Panel discussion featuring faculty and staff 
Panelists: Kris Larsen, Fred Latour, Glorivee Ortiz, Barry Westcott, Brenda Zhou

Join us as we engage with our distinguished panel of AIH faculty and staff. They will share their personal first-gen college experiences and provide valuable insights about things they wish they had known during their college years, along with offering advice for those embarking on their own academic journeys. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from their wisdom and experiences

Event: Meet and greet with first gen students, snacks and warm beverages, trivia, and presentations by first gen students about their most recent projects! 
 
1 - 2 p.m.; SEST tours

Copernicus (observatory, chemistry instrument room, Greenhouse, planetarium)
