Dr. Kim is an associate professor of Communication at Central Connecticut State University. Before coming to CCSU, she graduated with her PhD from the University of Alabama. She grew up in South Korea, where she attended Korea University in Seoul and graduated with her BAs and MA.
Her main research field is social media and strategic communication, focusing on how organizations and the public communicate in a social media environment through what messages and channels to establish and maintain relationships. Since joining CCSU, she has become more interested in cultural diversity research and practice, and is trying to think about how to incorporate cultural diversity in her research, classes, and services.
She lives a busy life as a professor, wife, mother, and member of society, but when she has free time, she likes to chat with friends over delicious food and coffee.
