Dusty Rader

Dusty Rader is our Interim Coordinator of the LGBTQ Center. He is a teacher, activist, professional public speaker, and advocate, and has been teaching the Introduction to Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies class here at CCSU since 2019. He has a long history of working as an activist for the LGBTQ+ community, going back to 2011 when he advocated for including gender identity and expression as protected classes in Connecticut’s anti-discrimination policy. After earning his Master of Arts in Teaching here at CCSU, he began providing professional development on LGBTQ+ students for K-12 teachers, administrators, boards of education, and other groups in 20105 while teaching high school English. Since he began teaching at CCSU, he has been part of the LGBTQ+ community on campus and is excited to serve as the Interim Coordinator. He can be contacted at drader@ccsu.edu or 860.832.2090.
