Meet Our Team

William J. Mann, Interim Coordinator

Pronouns: he/him/his

William is an author, historian, longtime community activist and teacher. A CCSU alum, he has taught at CCSU since 2015, introducing a number of new courses: LGBT History, History of AIDS, LGBT Fiction, LGBT Film, and American Popular Culture. For many years, he was the editor of Metroline, Connecticut’s LGBTQ newsmagazine. He worked for passage of the state’s gay rights law, advocated for people living with HIV, and coordinated Your Turf, Connecticut’s first LGBTQ youth organization.

Pat Bingham, University Assistant

Pat is a CCSU alum, graduating in 2020 with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. She was a recipient of the Spada-Childers LGBT Scholarship in 2019 for her work at the LGBT Center and many other campus positions. She has organized or co-organized events such as CCSU’s first World AIDS Day panel and the Proud to Resist rally at the State Capitol in support of Black Lives Matter. Pat is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Professional Counseling. She plans to specialize in serving LGBTQ and HIV-positive communities.
