The S.A. Blejwas Endowed Chair in Polish Studies will present an evening of music by Polish composers performed by renowned pianist Ewa Pobłocka. The program will include works by Frederic Chopin, Zygmunt Noskowski, Karol Szymanowski, and Ignacy Jan Paderewski. The concert will take place in Founders Hall* in Davidson Hall.
Pobłocka has performed throughout Europe and the Americas, as well as in China, Indonesia, the RSA, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, and Australia. She has given numerous first performances and made world-premiere recordings of works by Polish contemporary composers. She has recorded more than 50 discs for Deutsche Grammophon, Polskie Nagrania, CD Accord, and Bearton, among others.
