Endowed Chairs

The American Savings Foundation Endowed Chair in Banking & Finance provides support for the appointment of a senior practitioner with an extensive record of national or international recognition in banking and finance to the faculty of the School of Business in the Department of Finance.

The S. A. Blejwas Endowed Chair in Polish and Polish-American Studies preserves and stimulates, within both the Polish-American and American communities, an awareness of Poland's history and contributions to European civilization. Funds may be used to support staffing (both faculty and administrative), lectures, seminars, courses, library collections, donor recognition, entertainment and travel.

The Gov. William A. O'Neill Endowed Chair in Public Policy and Practical Politics provides dedicated support to promote an understanding of the history, structure, people and policies of the State of Connecticut's government, among both students and the larger community. Funds support active archival and oral history projects,collaborations with CCSU's Political Science department, History department, University Library, Media Services department and the United States Library of Congress. The fund also supports a wide range of academic and applied research programs. The Chair Holder is a public figure recognized for an outstanding contribution to the understanding and shaping of public affairs in Connecticut.

The Robert C. Vance Endowed Chair in Journalism and Mass Communication provide support for appointment of a senior practitioner with an extensive record of national or international recognition in journalism to the CCSU faculty.
