Are you passionate about fitness, wellness, intramural sports, student development, or creating engaging recreation experiences? Central Connecticut State University’s Department of Campus Recreation is seeking graduate interns for a two-year, hands-on professional role.
For years, Campus Recreation has provided emerging professionals with mentorship, leadership experience, and the practical skills needed to succeed in recreation, wellness, and student affairs.

Eligibility
- Must apply to and be accepted into a CT State University graduate program
- Applications reviewed on a rolling basis (beginning February)

What Interns Do
Campus Recreation supports fitness programs, intramural sports, open recreation, outdoor adventure, and student employee development. Graduate interns play a key role in daily operations and student engagement.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist with fitness, intramural sports, outdoor recreation, and facility operations
- Supervise student employees
- Support major events and programs
- Contribute to training, marketing, and social media
- Help manage budgets and scheduling
- Occasional nights/weekends required
- Full time work/Part time study
- Two-year position, renewed after year one

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree by June 2026 (minimum 2.70 GPA)
- Acceptance into a CT State University graduate program
- Experience in recreation, fitness, intramural, or student leadership
- Availability to start late May 2026
