Central earns recognition in U.S. News & World Report 2026 rankings

Central has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report in its 2026 Best Colleges rankings, earning multiple high placements across categories that highlight both academic excellence and value.

Among the rankings released to the public this month, Central placed as follows:

•    #76 (tie) in Regional Universities (North)
•    #25 (tie) in Top Public Schools – Regional Universities (North)
•    #17 in Best Value – Regional Universities (North)
•    #294 (tie) in Undergraduate Computer Science
•    #294 (tie) in Undergraduate Nursing
•    #329 (tie) in Undergraduate Psychology

Value rankings are determined by comparing overall academic quality with the net cost of attendance. Central’s placement as a Best Value institution underscores the university’s commitment to keeping a high-quality education accessible for Connecticut families and beyond.
