CCSU's Exercise Science program trains students to be leaders in physical activity, exercise, and allied-health related professions through academic, practical, and research experiences. Students are prepared for employment in the fitness industry, including corporate wellness and strength and conditioning centers. This rigorous program also allows students to transition seamlessly into a graduate program or professional health-care degree program. Students interested in earning their M.S. in Athletic training may participate in CCSU’s 3+2 B.S. Exercise Science/M.S. Athletic Training program. Students are given the necessary cognitive and practical experiences for exercise physiology certification by the American College of Sports Medicine and certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. The Exercise Science program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs and is an NSCA Education Recognized Program.
