Presidential Fellows and Senior Presidential Fellows Program

Presidential Fellows and Senior Presidential Fellows Program

The Presidential Fellow Program (PFP) at CCSU provides individuals the opportunity to actively participate in a variety of leadership committees toward a deeper understanding of academic and administrative operations of the university. Fellows fully participate in a variety of University meetings including the Executive Committee, Integrated Planning Council (IPC), Council of Deans, and Enrollment Management Council and lead initiatives tailored to their interests and the needs of the University.

Announcement from President Toro

After the 2019-20 inaugural PFP year, CCSU reviewed the Senior Presidential Fellow Program (SPFP) and recommended that the Presidential Fellow program be adapted to have an optional second-year experience.

2019 Presidential Fellows

Senior fellows would apply the skills and knowledge developed in their first year to lead an interdisciplinary team toward a University goal. Participants in the SPFP would continue to perform duties associated with their role as an academic fellow and take on additional responsibilities to lead an agile project team with one or two core assignments. This approach would pair Senior Fellows with an interdisciplinary group of administrative and/or academic staff (no more than five total) to support project-based work, pilot initiatives, or complete special projects that require more than a single resource set.

Committee Meetings of PFP and SPFP

PFP and SPFP are designed to be professional development opportunities. For Senior Presidential Fellows, this provides an opportunity to excel in an area that requires an increased level of responsibility. It focuses on a greater amount of time interacting with Executive Committee members and the IPC.
