LGBTQ+ Scholarships

Richard S. Spada & Robert G. Childers Scholarship

While not exclusively for LGBTQ+ students, the Richard S. Spada and Robert G. Childers Scholarship fund shall be used to provide scholarships to support undergraduate students who are matriculated and in good standing, and have demonstrated resilience in overcoming significant personal, financial, societal or other challenges in accessing and succeeding in higher education at Central. Preference will be given to students who:

• Have experienced hardship due to social or economic situations that has impacted their ability to attend Central.
• Demonstrated a commitment to furthering their education at Central.
• Have engaged in leadership, service, or advocacy related to creating a welcoming environment for all students at Central.

This scholarship is part of the annual competitive scholarship application that takes place each Fall. After completing the general application, students will have to apply for this scholarship specifically. The application requires an additional essay.
