Central Connecticut State School of Business is a CFA University Affiliation Program Partner of the CFA Institute, a global membership organization that awards the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation. To qualify, the CFA Institute determined that Central offers a degree program that covers at least 75 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge, the CFA Institute ethical and professional standards, and other requirements.
The CFA Program is widely considered as the investment profession’s most rigorous credentialing program. Being a member of CFA Institute’s University Affiliated Program provides additional validation that Central’s curriculum provides students with a strong foundation for future careers in the investment industry.
As one of the benefits to the students, Central’s partnership with the CFA Institute provides access to scholarships that help alleviate the cost of sitting for the CFA exam. Each year, the Finance Department offers 8 scholarships to students, which includes waiving the CFA program enrollment fee ($450) and a reduction in the exam registration fee from $1000 to $350.
