'Yokai Parade' exhibition opening

All are welcome to attend an opening reception for the Japan Foundation special traveling exhibit "Yokai Parade: Supernatural Monsters from Japan" to be held on the second floor of the Elihu Burritt Library. Diplomats from the Consulate General of Japan in Boston including Consul General Seiichirō Takahasi will attend as special guests to provide remarks and also meet with Central administers, faculty, and the greater community.

This exhibition introduces Japan’s yokai (Japanese folkloric imaginary monsters) culture that extends to the present day through picture scrolls and nishiki-e (a multicolored Japanese woodblock print), as well as a diverse range of media, including toys and films.
