The Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education (BOR) named 12 Connecticut State Colleges and Universities (CSCU) faculty members as recipients of the annual BOR Faculty Awards. Among the winners are two Central faculty members, Associate Professor of Engineering Dr. Mohammad Mahjoob who earned the University Research Award, and Marketing lecturer Alana Ledford, who received the System-wide Adjunct Faculty Teaching Award.

The BOR Faculty Awards recognize CSCU faculty for excellence in teaching or research and presented to assistant and associate professors in tenure-track or tenured positions and adjunct faculty members.

Campus-based award categories include Teaching, Research, and Scholarly Excellence throughout the CSCU system. There is also a single system-wide award in Teaching, Research, and Scholarly Excellence and a system-level Adjunct Faculty Teaching Award.
