Central Connecticut State University is back in the national spotlight with its inclusion in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges 2026 Guidebook.

The annual guidebook includes national university rankings, top liberal arts colleges, HBCUs, and program-specific rankings, along with guidance on admissions and financial aid. In the 2026 edition, Central was ranked #76 out of 164 institutions in the Regional Universities North category, placing the university among a broad group of colleges and universities across the Northeast.
