Welcome, New First-Year Students,
Once you’ve made the decision to attend Central and have submitted your confirmation deposit, the Office of New Student Programs will contact you through your Central email with information about your next steps.
First, you will complete your Academic Profile which will tell us a little about you and your course preferences. The Academic Profile will help your advisor create your Fall semester schedule.
During this time you will also complete your Writing and Math Placement Exam. The Placement Exam determines Writing and Math course eligibility. It is extremely important to complete the placement exams as soon as possible. Failure to complete the placement exams may delay academic progress in your major.
During the summer, you'll attend New Student Orientation where you will meet fellow Blue Devils, explore campus, and connect with your academic advisor. During the meeting with your academic advisor, you will review your course schedule, learn about the university general education requirements and the curricular requirements for your major, and learn how to make schedule adjustments if necessary.
We are excited to welcome you to the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and we look forward to meeting you!
Sincerely,
The College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Advising Center
