Prorating for Part-Time Enrollment
Under the new law, students enrolled less than full-time (i.e. part-time) will have their annual borrowing limits prorated in proportion to their enrollment. For example, a student taking half the credit load of a full-time student would get access to half of the annual limit.
This rule ensures that part-time students cannot borrow the full annual limit meant for full-time students.
