
About the Proscenium Hyflex 2.0 Classroom
Overview
Attend or host classes, lectures, and workshops with state-of-the-art video conferencing and engagement tools:
- Hybrid on-ground learner and online learner engagement
- 55” screens providing real-life size of remote attendees increasing engagement, with cameras for each allowing direct eye contact
- 55” remote presenter screen at front of classroom allowing for co-teaching, remote teaching, or remote presenters
- 85" interactive touchscreen whiteboard with Live Polling
The Proscenium Hyflex 2.0 classroom at Central is designed to accommodate students attending in-person and synchronously online. The classroom has cutting-edge audiovisual technology, interactive display systems, and robust conferencing tools. Faculty can seamlessly engage with students physically present in the room while also interacting with remote learners in real time.
The key features of the room are seventeen high-resolution cameras, immersive and spatial sound systems, and automatic student and presenter tracking, which ensures speakers remain in focus and audible. Every session can be recorded, archived, and ADA captioned, enabling asynchronous review for all. Faculty across disciplines, from business to performing arts, can use this technology to deliver lectures, host guest speakers from around the world, and produce virtual lectures.
The Proscenium Hyflex 2.0 classroom seats 20 in-room participants and 24 remote participants. The room is
located in the Learning Commons on the third floor of the Library, room 30103. The room uses a specialized scheduling system, X2O One Room, for remote participation and organization of presentation materials. The IT department will work with you to set up your session(s) and have support staff available throughout.
