Mike D. Ryan, PT, ATC, CES, PES Wellness & Injury Management Specialist

Mike Ryan is a sports medicine specialist, physical therapist, and former 26-year National Football League (NFL) Head Athletic Trainer (Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Giants). Mike has focused his post-NFL career on teaching individuals, young and old, the art of restoring pain-free body mobility without medicine.

In addition to managing his 100% 1-on-1 physical therapy clinic in Jacksonville Beach, FL, Mike serves as the Sports Medicine Analyst for NBC Sports working NFL sidelines for Sunday Night Football on NBC and Amazon Prime’s Thursday Night Football.

As founder of Mike Ryan Sports Medicine, Inc., Mike’s a popular speaker and consultant for professional athletes, corporate athletes and health-conscious individuals across the country demonstrating his simple Mission Statement:

To Enhance the Health of Others

A long-time fitness and muscle roller enthusiast, Mike’s the author of Foam Rolling Made Easy and Foam Rolling for Dummies.

Still a very competitive athlete, Mike has qualified and competed in three of the last four DekaFit World Championships. His athletic resumé includes 6 Ironman triathlons in 5 countries, a member of Team USA in the 2002 Duathlon World Championships, and competing in the 1994 Ironman Triathlon World Championships.

Mike loves extreme sports. His unique accomplishments include acrobatic plane Wing Walking, Running with the Bulls in Spain, great white shark cage diving in South Africa, bungee jumping in New Zealand, boogie boarding the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe, the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon in San Francisco, glider planes in Hawaii, Empire State Building Run-Up races in NYC, and cave rafting in Belize.

Mike attended Central Connecticut State University earning his degree in Athletic Training in 1985 before completing his Physical Therapy degree from the University of Connecticut in 1988. He currently resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL with his loving 2x Ironman triathlete wife along with his teenage son and daughter.
