Central DNAP students featured in academic journal
Nicolaus Copernicus Hall houses many classes and labs for the School of Engineering, Science and Technology, including all Science courses. The campus planetarium is located on the second floor, and a greenhouse sits near the building's back entrance.
Copernicus Hall is also home to Central's newest addition, the College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences. The college has five departments, two of which are housed within Copernicus Hall. Nursing and Nursing Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) share a newly constructed Hospital Corridor on the second floor. Students from all five departments of the college, including Social Work, Physical Education & Human Performance, and Counselor Education & Family Therapy, have the opportunity to work in the clinic located on the first floor.
The Central Community Health Education Clinic offers fitness assessments, education sessions, prevention workshops, and more all at no cost to local residents and community members. Students working in the clinic are supervised by healthcare professionals and faculty as they gain hands-on experience serving real clients. The clinic provides free health screenings and services every Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
