State employees fill the Central Career Closet

The Career Closet at Central got a second sizable donation thanks to the recent Business Clothing Drive hosted by the state Department of Transportation's Employee Engagement Group (EEG) and Connecticut Chapter Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO CT).

Tara Keating, co-chair of EEG and Sharon Okoye, president of COMTO CT, brought a large delivery of clothing to Central on July 9 and were greeted by Director of Career Development Paul Rossitto, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Carmen Veloria, and Engineering professor Dr. Bin (Brenda) Zhou along with several Central students.

The Career Closet assists students in need by equipping them with business attire to wear to work, internships, and interviews, making a way to provide proper business attire that is essential for conveying professionalism, fostering positive first impressions, and boosting self-confidence.
