The Perch: Social, a creative arts journal focused on mental health, has received an Award of Excellence in the 2026 University & College Design Association Design Awards. The journal’s design is by Central Art & Design professor Jeanne Criscola.
The 196-page issue, created and sponsored by the Yale Program for Recovery and Community Health, examines the vital role of social support in promoting wellness and facilitating recovery from mental health challenges.
The Perch is co-produced by the College of Letters at Wesleyan University and Central Connecticut State University.
