Cybersecurity programs ranked among Cybersecurity Guide’s best

Central Connecticut State University is once again earning national attention for excellence and value in cybersecurity education. 

Cybersecurity Guide, a leading online resource for prospective Cybersecurity students, has named Central’s Cybersecurity bachelor’s and master’s programs among the best in the country in its newly released 2026 rankings.

Central’s Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity was ranked #14 on Cybersecurity Guide’s Top 25 Cybersecurity Bachelor’s Programs for 2026, spotlighting the university’s strong academic foundation, hands-on learning opportunities, and growing reputation for preparing students to meet the rapidly evolving demands of the cybersecurity field.

The university’s Master of Science in Cybersecurity was ranked #17 on the Top 25 Most Affordable Cybersecurity Master’s Degree Programs, recognizing Central for offering high-quality graduate education at an accessible cost.

Cybersecurity Guide evaluates institutions using data from the National Center for Education Statistics, including the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System and College Navigator. Rankings also consider tuition and credit requirements, Center for Academic Excellence designation, and graduation, retention, and admission rates. 

Programs included in the affordability category are further assessed on academic quality, CAE designation, and overall program cost.
