CW Resources, Foodshare stock the shelves at Maria's Place

CW Resources in New Britain donated 7,920 meals to Foodshare at no cost, ensuring that students and neighbors alike have access to nourishing food. The contribution includes 6,720 frozen meals and 1,200 shelf-stable meals, with a portion directed to Maria’s Place, Central’s on-campus food pantry.

For students balancing classes, work, and family responsibilities, knowing that support is close at hand can make all the difference.

Maria’s Place received 100 shelf-stable meal kits that will help ensure students have access to reliable, nutritious food. The pantry serves as a critical campus resource, supporting student well-being and academic success by reducing barriers created by food insecurity.

Foodshare will distribute the remaining meals to community agencies throughout New Britain, as part of its mission to deliver an informed and equitable response to hunger by mobilizing community partners.

CW Resources is a nationally recognized organization that provides products and services to federal, state, and commercial customers, with a strong focus on vocational training, employment, and support services for individuals and veterans with disabilities.
