Conference panelists share insights on Emeagwali's research

Scholars at the ninth annual Lagos Studies Association Conference at the University of Lagos this June explored the scholarship of Central History professor Dr. Gloria Emeagwali.

During two panel discussions titled "Science, Technology, and Indigenous Knowledge in Africa since the Precolonial Period: Engaging the Scholarship of Gloria Emeagwali," panelists discussed their research inspired by Emeagwali’s works in the fields of African history, science, and technology. The conference also was broadcast via livestream.

Emeagwali is the author and editor of several books and manages africahistory.net, a website that extensively covers African indigenous science.
