Central students return from Amalfi adventures

Published:

For the third consecutive year, Central students spent three weeks in southern Italy, exploring UNESCO World Heritage sites and studying Italian language at the Accademia Italiana Salerno. Mornings were dedicated to the language classroom, while afternoon and weekends were reserved for adventuring across the Amalfi coast to towns such as such as Vietri sul Mare, Ravello, and Positano; ancient cities like Pompeii and Paestum; and of course, the region's cultural center, Napoli. The course offered an immersive experience with the aim of spurring reflection of world travel, responsible tourism, and Italian culture and society.
